My Birthday and Stuff

Since I had to share my birthday with Thanksgiving this year, Jesse and I decided to celebrate early.  So, for Veteran's Day weekend, we headed down to Orlando.  We left about 4 a.m. on Friday to drive to Orlando.  We made it to the temple at like 7:50.  We saw Chris and Kendal there, as well as Amy and Miikael..  After the temple (where we got no pictures, yet again), we headed to Chick-fil-a to change, eat, and get a little caffeine in our systems.  Then it was off to Universal Studios!!

Jesse decided we should just pay a little more and get annual passes.  So we can go back any time we want to!

Jesse with his dream car/time machine.

We went on the Popeye river ride.  And got soaked.

Seriously.  We rode it at like 2 or 3 and were still a little damp when we got home to Tallahassee at like 11:30...

He finally got his turkey leg.

 Dinner at The Three Broomsticks!!!

Butterbeer is much better than I thought it would be.  I think the frozen kind is probably better.

 Hogwarts was totally legit!!

 And even awesome-er at night!!

Jesse and his hero.  Yes, the suit was for sale.  I told him no.

Also, the new roller coaster at Universal, the Hollywood something-or-other may look impressive, but it's not.  I mean, it's cool that you can pick a song to listen to while you ride, but the choices aren't anything special.  Some of those options included Hinder, Limp Bizkit, two Black Eyed Peas songs, two Beastie Boys songs, Fergie, and six country songs.  They have it broken into five or six categories, and it's a really weird/random selection...  And it wasn't that fun.  When we got to Islands of Adventure and went on the Hulk, we realized that roller coasters are still fun.  The Hulk and Duelling Dragons are way better than the new one.

Ok, what else?  I haven't blogged in a while, so there must be other stuff to say.  My mom has some more pictures that she took from my birthday dinner, including BethAnn and Zach, and PZ Shray wearing a tiny top hat.  Or fedora.  Not sure.  I'll get those pics from her.

I'm 25 now.  It feels quite old to me.  I can rent a car now! Not that I need to, but I can if I want to!

Oh, also, we spontaneously decided to go Black Friday shopping at midnight.  Bad idea.  Especially since we didn't really have any major purchases or items in mind.  We got to Target at midnight, looked around, bought a few things, and paid.  By the time we got out of there, it was about 1:30.  We went to Old Navy, which was insane!! I picked out some stuff, but the line wrapped around the store a few times, so we decided to go back later in the day.  I got a sewing machine at Target.  Hopefully I will use it.  It's nothing fancy, but it's Martha-approved.  I got tons of cute clothes at Old Navy, and I used gift cards, so that was awesome.

We saw the new Muppet movie on Thanksgiving.  It was really funny.  I would definitely see it again.

We went to Marianna Friday and Saturday, ate some steak, tried to go thrifting, but not much was open, I wrote a paper, and that was about it.  Also, I decided to have the kids sing Christmas songs in Primary.  Turns out, most of them don't know very many Christmas songs.  Sad.  So, I'm going to pick a few of the Primary Christmas songs that I don't know that well, learn them, and then teach 'em to the kids.  Unfortunately, Primary chorister is a bit stressful to plan for when you work full time and go to school full time, and have four papers of at least 4,5, and 6 pages due within three weeks of each other, also three tests, go to Gretchen Everhart once a week for practicum, and have a messy house.  It's like having more homework...  But it's fun and I like it, I just get stressed out about it easily.

Anyway, that's about all I can think of.  Oh, and those papers I have/had to write, three of them are/were due in an eight-day period.  I had a 4-6 page paper due Monday night, a 5-7 page paper (which is based on two DVDs that we were given Monday night to take home and watch) due tomorrow, yes, SATURDAY!!! (which I have not written yet), and a 4-5 page paper due Tuesday night.  And we had a test last night and a test next week on Thursday.  AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

And, we have our annual audit coming up at work.  And let's just say, I know nothing about getting audited or preparing for an audit, so that's a bit stressful as well.

i once did the midnight shopping with no purpose and yeah it was quite silly. you just don't have that frenzy fire to get you going like all the other midnight shoppers do.
good luck finishing up the semester and preparing for the audit!!!
