For our anniversary, we wanted to take a trip. Since trips are expensive, we came up with a good solution. We went and stayed in Marianna at Jesse's parents' house. It's clean, and free! And it's close to Panama City, so we went to the beach the next day.
I never thought it could be too hot to go to the beach. Well, on Saturday it was! Just walking from the car to the water was horrible. I was sweating so much! And this time of year, the water is not so refreshing. But once we got in, it was nice. Except for the ridiculous amount of seaweed!! Yuck. I hate seaweed. Also, the beach was smelly. Like that beach smell plus manure. Weird. Also, we didn't pack well for the beach. We applied sunscreen before we left the house, wore our swimsuits, and brought towels. That was it. We forgot to bring the sunscreen with us. And we bought overpriced water bottles at the state park. And I'm a bad wife and I forgot to put sunscreen on Jesse's back, and he got fried. (In my defense, he didn't ask me to put any on his back!) Anyway, I think I like St. George a lot better, but Marianna is much closer to PC. Also, I did not get get any pictures at the beach. Probably a good thing.
After the beach we went to Wonderworks. It was kinda cool, but definitely overpriced. I learned new things about Jesse there.
Like, apparently he has dreams of having a large TV screen hooked up to satellites so he can do some Google Earth-ing. Like this:
This was the first thing we saw. He loved it and said he already had an idea to do something like it...
Jesse on a bed of nails.
Virtual basketball.
It was weird.
We also went to this restaurant in PC called Case de Fogo. It's a Brazilian place. They have a really good, extensive salad bar. Then they bring you meat. Lots of it. They give you a coaster which is green on one side, red on the other. If your coaster is on the green side, they bring skewers of filet mignon, sirloin, garlic steak, parmesan pork, sweet and sour chicken, bacon-wrapped chicken, some other kind of steak, and other stuff. Then they slice off a chunk for you. We definitely left there super full.
The day after our anniversary we broke out our cake top. And it actually tasted good! It was still moist. I couldn't believe it..
Anywho, it was a great anniversary and I can't believe we've been married for a whole year. It totally flew by! It's been great. Jesse is the best husband and I love him and all that mushy stuff!
Congrats!! Looks like you two had an exciting and fun anniversary!
