Nathaniel is 4 Months!

Nathaniel had his 4-month checkup today.  The stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz; 30th percentile
Height: 24.5 in; 35th percentile
Head Size: 42.3 cm; 50th percentile


Some things about Nathaniel:

• Loves baths more than anything
• Loves to stare at my printer at work
• Loves to stare at himself in the mirror
• Eats frequently
• When I nurse him, he gives me a massage. haha
• Loves his Jumperoo and jumps like a wild man
• Still wears size 1 diapers.  I tried to up him to size 2, but they swallow him.  Poor kid...
• Likes to sit in his Bumbo on the kitchen table while Mommy and Daddy eat, but only for a little while
• Still has a sporadic sleep schedule at night.  Sometimes he only wakes up once, sometimes he wakes up four times.  Yikes
• Swaddling seems to keep him asleep for longer stretches of time
• He is super gassy.  And it's super smelly.  It seems to cause him some pain and be the root of some of his fussines
• He is still super fussy.  ALL.THE.TIME.
•  However, when he's happy, he's super happy and smiley
• Loves to smile
• Still likes to watch TV
• Still hates tummy time, but finally rolled over again.  Twice
• Finally started to like when I read him books at night.  He loves Brown Bear, Brown Bear and The Very Hungry Caterpillar
• Always falls asleep nursing and it's usually the only way I can get him to go to sleep
• Must be teething because he drools like a beast and must have his fist/fingers in his mouth at all times
• Constantly gags himself with his own fingers
• Still prefers to stand and can support his own body weight.  He just needs to hold on to my fingers for balance
• Only naps in the swing at work
• Naps on weekends only if we go places and he falls asleep in the car.  And those are short naps
• Talks constantly
• Loves to yell
• Has discovered his feet (and other things)
• His new goal in life is to get his feet in his mouth; he's moved on from trying to get both fists inside
• Developed some really dry skin and little bumps.  The Eczema Therapy lotion worked amazingly after like two days
• Still loves to grab blankets and burp cloths and put them in his mouth
• He's not big on grabbing toys, but he's starting to hold them more
• He loves his Baby Einstein "MP3 player"
• Still screams a lot, mostly in the evenings and at bedtime
• Loves when people talk or sing to him in silly voices
• Hates being strapped into his car seat, but usually plays quietly during the drive
