Stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 7 oz; 10th percentile
Height: 27.5 in; 45th percentile
Head size: 55th percentile
So, his body is catching up to his head, but his weight percentile has gone down. Dr. Bunnell said he's not worried about his weight because he has some visible fat on his thighs and is healthy. He's just meant to be lean.
This guy. He's hilarious! He laughs all the time, usually at the weirdest things. He is not content unless he is moving. He no longer sits and plays with toys. He must crawl to the nearest elevated (even just a few inches off the ground) object and attempt to climb it. He'll even try to climb my face when I'm laying in bed. Ouch.
Diaper changes are rough. He rolls over and crawls away. He's even been quick enough to crawl away and stand up, still naked. He can stand up in his crib now. Jesse went ahead and just lowered the crib mattress to the lowest setting. He loves to be in his walker (most of the time) and he practically runs, if he has enough room. He still puts everything in his mouth. I can't believe he hasn't cut another tooth after the way he's been drooling and chomping lately.
He likes to eat some table foods. Sometimes he spits them back out, but most of the time, he likes black beans, canned fruit, cherries, cheese, and even tofu. He even tried some yeast rolls at Texas Roadhouse, and some hash browns and french toast (no syrup) at the hotel.
His favorite things to say are "deedeedee," "dadadadada," "yeeyeeyee," "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee," "bababa," and he's even says "mama," "a ma," "ma," and "ma ba." He will occasionally say "mama" or "dada" when asked, but most of the time, he just says whatever he wants. And he jabbers non-stop. Car rides home from my sister's are hilarious.
He's still wearing a lot of 6-month clothes and size 2 diapers. He does wear 9-month jammies, though. He's just skinny.
Also, when I go and pick him up after work, he actually gets really excited to see me! It makes my day. He starts daycare this week, and I'm totally not ready for that. But I'm sure he will do just fine, and will probably enjoy playing with the other babies.
All around, he's a pretty happy guy. He still has his ridiculous fits where he screams and it sounds like someone is torturing him. Usually he does this if you won't let him play with the computer, cell phone, or trash can. And he still cries every time he wakes up. I still get up and nurse him once a night, but lately he doesn't wake up until 5 or 6, and he goes back to sleep until 7:30 or so.
I just love this little guy so much!
