We're so close to a year I can't believe it! Evelyn is still the sweetest little girlie. We love her so much!
She hasn't grown a whole lot in the last month and is still wearing mostly 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She loves to smile and is laughing more, but she still prefers screeching over laughing most of the time. She can say "mamama," but it's usually when she's angry or wants to nurse/eat food. She will get really excited and say "dadadadadada," when Jesse walks into the room. She makes lots of other sounds, but no words yet. Oh, and still no teeth!
She loves to clap! Sometimes she'll stop nursing to clap. It's so cute. She also is kinda getting the hang of high-fives. She occasionally gives me slobbery wet kisses. She dances all the time. If music is playing, she starts bouncing. She also loves when I hold her and dance.
She pulls up on everything and tries to stand on her own. She's so close! But Nate usually knocks her over. She likes when we hold her hands so she can walk. She usually runs, though. She's not a big fan of the walker anymore because she hates to be contained.
She loves food. All of it. All the time. She's not big into foods that require a spoon anymore because she loves to feed herself. She loves cheese, beans, peas, carrots, bananas, strawberries, blue berries, cheerio's, and veggie straws. She likes yogurt, cottage cheese, oatmeal, and some purees, but it usually takes three spoons to feed her these foods: two for her to hold, and one for feeding. She still loves to nurse, but it's getting more difficult during daytime feedings, due to her acrobatics.
Her hair is getting thicker and growing past her ears. It's still blonde, so I'm thinking it'll stay blonde. She doesn't keep headbands on anymore. She loves to pull them off and play with them. She loves to play with Nate's Star Wars toys, even though he does not approve. She's really getting into books and will flip through the pages and babble. She loves stuffed puppies and kitties too. She loves to play and will not sit still. Ever. It's hard to go places where I can't put her down to play because she gets so fidgety.
She is starting to get really upset when Nate takes things from her. She used to just let it go and move on, but now she starts wailing. I kinda can't wait until she can fight back, because he can be so mean!
She's still a good sleeper, but has been fighting it a little more. She has been waking up once a night occasionally, but still generally sleeps a straight 12 hours. No complaints from me!
