Sonic-tastic Birthday!!

So, as a child, my sister and I went to my grandma's house every summer and played the crap out of some Sega Genesis.  Sadly, one summer, we went to Grandma's to find that our beloved Sega and Sonic games were gone.  She didn't even tell us, or warn us, or anything!!!

Anyway, I have a point.  For my birthday, I invited some folks out to good ol' Red Elephant to celebrate my golden birthday.  (24 on the 24th).  It was fantastic and Jesse had some surprises for me!

Lindy made the cake.  She is a wizard!!

We also had Sonic headbands.  Jesse's idea, Lindy's expert craftiness.

He got me a Sega Genesis.

 And lots of Sonic games!!

 Layne came!

And Kelly too!  And Erik photo-bombed us.  Good work, my friend.

On my actual birthday, we had family dinner at Olive Garden.  This included Jesse, Krissie, the Lor, my mom, my mom's mustache-- I mean, boyfriend, his son Nicholas, and his daughter Laura.

The Joan and her mustache.  I think they should appreciate their nicknames more.

 Nicholas and Laura!

The Lor doesn't like to be photographed.

This is when I realized what the cake said.

 "Happy Birthday to the ground!"

Beauty and the Beast on dvd.  Yusss!

Al- in-all, the birthday was a great success, I declare!  I had a good time, lots of restaurant food, and lots of dessert.  Followed by two Thanksgivings.  I probably gained fifteen pounds!

On another scarier note, I was stung by a wasp.  On Black Friday.  While indoors watching Casino Royale.  Out of six people, that stupid wasp picks the person who is deathly afraid of wasps.  It flew at my eye and got me right below my eye, luckily.  It was horrible and traumatizing and it HURT!  So anyone who has ever told me it's no big deal and my fears are irrational, you are wrong!!

  1. I WISH I was a real wizard.

And I absolutely love the nicknames. I literally laughed out loud when I read "My mom and her mustache..." Cory thinks I'm crazy.

I support your fear with all my heart.
