A month ago, Nathaniel turned one, and we had a big party to celebrate! We had a few house project goals that we wanted to have completed before the party, and we got most of them done. The theme for the party was based on Nathaniel's favorite book, Fisher-Price's
Who Lives in the Rainforest? It has different animals hiding behind things and it has flaps to lift up. He loves it!
Lindy brought her camera and took lots of pictures!
Food and decor:
Homemade party hats. Saved by Jesse's crafting skills. |
An assortment of pictures of Nathaniel. |
Guest book/birthday wishes on pieces of scrapbook paper. |
I made this ribbon banner! |
Fruit, veggies, hummus, bacon wrapped little smokies, chips and salsa. |
Blue punch! And fun straws in my new straw holder. |
Lindy made the cupcakes. |
Favors! Animals crackers. Only two people took favors... |
Gifts. He got way too many. |
Friends:
The missionaries even came. |
Babies everywhere! |
They were sitting back-to-back. It was so cute. |

Presents:
We had a few meltdowns. |
He went to Zach for sympathy. |
Cupcake!
He was a pro. He picked it up from the top and just went to town. He didn't even hesitate.
Clapping! |
We love our little man! We had such a fun time throwing him this party and we had so much fun with all our friends who came to celebrate!
HOW FUN!!! I'm so sad we missed it. He is such a little boy now, it's exciting. That is hilerious that he went to Zach for sympathy. I love Zach's facial expression. Happy 1st Birthday Nathaniel!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou did such a good job putting this party together for him! Everything was so cute, and delicious. I love the picture of him eating his cupcake--he did not mess around with that thing. Impressive. But my favorite picture is probably the meltdown while opening presents, haha. It cracks me up every time!
