Our sweet girl is four months! We just love her. She is so good at growing. She is 26 inches tall (97th %), weighs 16.5 pounds (90th %), and her head is 42.5 cm (94th %). She's a good 1.5 inches taller and 2.5 pounds heavier than Nate at this age. His head was the same size, though.
She's wearing mostly 6-month clothes, but still fits into some of her 3-month stuff. She fits pretty comfortably in size 2 diapers. I can't wait for the weather to warm up and stay warm so she can wear her summer clothes.
Evelyn sleeps well at night, still waking 2-3 times to eat and goes right back to sleep. She likes to sleep in until about 10, sometimes later, so when we go places in the morning, she doesn't get her sleep and gets a bit cranky. On days we are home, she takes her long naps in her swing. She'll doze in the car, but usually wakes up once we get to where we are going.
She seems to be teething. She is always chomping on her fists, toys, or burp cloths, and usually she is growling all the while. It's cute, when she's not screaming. She seems to react well to teething tablets.
She loves to stand, sit, and if she is laying down or in an inclined position like the bouncy chair, she will pull herself straight up as much as she can. She gets more exercise than I do!
She likes to hold on to whatever she can grab. I got her a little stuffed dolly, and she loves to hold and chew on it. She usually grabs her burp cloths or blankets, but she's getting more interested in toys. She also loves to watch the computer screen or projector screen.
She loves to talk and squeal happily. She limits her laughter, though. She will give you a couple little laughs when she thinks something is funny, but usually she just shrieks happily. She loves when I bounce her on our bed or hold her up like she's flying.
She loves Nate so much. She loves to watch him. She loves when he talks to her and laughs at her. If she starts crying in the swing, I'll ask Nate to go talk to her, and she'll immediately calm down and smile. And then I have to run over and save her as he tries to pick her up, saying it's his turn to hold her.
I've tried wearing her recently, both in the K'tan and the Boba carrier, and she isn't a fan anymore. I think it's because she is too big for the infant holds now, and doesn't like having her legs stretched out. I would keep her in the infant hold, but she's just too tall!
She's not a big fan of tummy time, but she handles it better than Nate did. She can push up and hold her head up really well, but after a few minutes, she spits-up, then starts fussing. When she's on her back, she rolls right to her side and tries desperately to roll to her stomach. Sometimes she gets really mad when she can't make it.
She spits-up so much! I don't even know how to handle it. We got through like 10 of the Gerber cloth diapers a day. I started putting bandana bibs on her, and they keep her dry, so I think we'll continue with that. Plus they are cute and don't clash horribly with her outfits.
I think that's all I've got. She is super sweet, smiley, happy girl!
